The gameplay seems overly reliant on animations, giving the impression that actions are not fluid. For instance, a player getting tackled might transition through several animations in quick succession (within a second), which looks awkward and feels unnatural.

Although the fundamental gameplay remains unchanged, there have been substantial updates that make Road To Glory feel incredibly enriched and expanded.

Initially, I’m really enjoying the fresh High School Experience. Despite being just five matches, it adds depth significantly to the gameplay. Moreover, it provides a realistic opportunity to secure admission at your preferred university.

In CFB 25, your recruit rating, which ranged from two to five stars, played a significant role in determining your status. However, in this year’s RTG, you now have the power to impact your star-rating through your high school performances.

Excelling in high school and achieving significant milestones increases the likelihood of receiving a scholarship from schools. Moreover, your personality type plays a role in determining the kinds of hurdles you are well-suited to overcome. High school life itself seems like a unique game mode, offering a variety of challenges for students to engage with.

Enjoying the process of compiling a list of ten schools, captivating their attention, and ultimately narrowing it down to my top three is such a thrilling experience. On Signing Day, I’ll get to playfully consider each of the top three hats before making my final decision about which university to attend.

During college, the fundamental layout of RTG remained constant. However, the creators incorporated enhancements into the mode that now offer players a more streamlined experience.

Don’t worry, you’ll encounter many tough decisions in your college years. However, I find it exciting to choose where to allocate my Weekly Energy Points. Occasionally, the game might present you with unexpected scenarios that could deplete your points, leaving you with fewer options.

In the realm of gameplay, Real-Time Gaming (RTG) continues to challenge you by requiring additional access to play calls, audibles, hot routes, and numerous other aspects. Some players might find this experience somewhat restrictive initially, but once you’ve unlocked Audibles, you gain increased control. At that stage, the specific play you choose becomes less crucial since your control over the game significantly improves with the use of Audibles.

Personally, I just have three gripes with RTG this year:

Initially, it’d be great if the game provided more character roles to choose from. Although I enjoy the fresh character types, it’s tempting to try out positions like Safety or any spot on the Defensive Line. Here’s hoping they add more roles in upcoming editions of the game.

Dynasty remains enjoyable for both beginners and veterans. Although it may not have received the same level of attention as Real-Time Gaming (RTG), it’s equally engaging, and provides a more intricate gaming experience for those seeking depth.

This year, College Football 26 offers more than 300 real-life coaches that you can manage within the game. As you launch Dynasty, you might find yourself assuming the role of Ohio State HC Ryan Day. However, you also have the option to design your own coach and potentially replace Day if desired.

One aspect I find particularly appealing about Dynasty is the newfound ability to manage the Transfer Portal. This feature allows for adjusting the maximum and minimum number of transfers that can occur in a specific year, as well as regulating transfers between schools.

In essence, the game offers a wider variety of both physical and mental skills to explore. Luckily, player development in Dynasty can now be managed manually through their Player Cards. This means that you have direct control over your Quarterback’s growth, specifically focusing on enhancing his accuracy at your discretion.

Making these three alterations is one method by which CFB 26 empowers players with greater autonomy. Furthermore, the enhancements to recruitment, introduction of additional depth chart roles, and other quality-of-life upgrades collectively contribute to a more complete experience.

These three modifications give players extra control over their gameplay in CFB 26. Along with improvements to recruiting, new roles on the depth chart, and various enhancements, it all feels like a fully fleshed-out game.

No matter if you choose Dynasty or Road To Glory, you’ll get to explore the Trophy Room and delve into College Football history.

Apart from FIFA Ultimate Team, I’ve been finding plenty of fun in the other two main game modes included. The Road to Glory mode, in particular, has been quite engaging, while I believe the Dynasty enthusiasts will be pleased with the updates in their preferred mode.

This Year’s College Football Game (26) might not be a significant improvement over last year’s edition, but it continues to impress visually. Details such as player models, uniform designs, and stadium illumination remain consistent. However, I’m perfectly fine with that because it appears the developers have concentrated more on enhancing the gameplay and presentation this time around. In my opinion, they made the right choices for this year’s release.

This season, many teams have significantly improved their introductions, featuring stunning drone displays, fireworks, and an array of other exciting elements to mark Game day. Plus, there are now even more mascots, and the inclusion of real coaches adds a touch of genuine authenticity.

I’m quite fond of the advanced Dynamic Lighting system in later video games. When you begin playing at 6:30 PM, you’ll notice that the lighting gradually changes every quarter, making it darker as time passes. This progressive shift in light intensity significantly enhances the thrill of evening matches.

Additionally, I’m quite fond of the updated scoreboard. Remarkably, EA Sports has managed to surpass some professional broadcasters for two consecutive years with their superior scoreboards. Yet, they’ve maintained the college-style essence in the user interface. From the handwritten chalk-board font to the route art, it’s clear that the developers are keen on preserving and honoring the spirit of Football.

In our latest edition of College Football, EA Orlando has stepped up the game with an impressive showcase. As previously stated, they’ve introduced additional mascots, distinctive team introductions, authentic coaches, and a greater emphasis on band music. On the field, the presentation is nothing short of extraordinary.

However, there’s two areas in which Presentation could be improved in the game.

Initially, the commentary seemed somewhat unengaging. Although it wasn’t poor, it didn’t captivate me as I hoped it would. However, let me clarify that none of the commentators were bad, but they weren’t particularly memorable. However, there are a few points to consider in their defense.

Generally speaking, football commentary isn’t as vibrant as it is in sports like baseball (MLB) due to a more complex structure. Unlike sports such as baseball with 30 or 32 teams, there are 136 teams in football, making unique commentary challenging, especially since each team has a constantly evolving narrative during the offseason.

Another aspect that could use some enhancement is Off-field Presence. In the game Dynasty, I feel there’s room for more post-weekly content. Rather than merely brief recaps, it would be engaging to have a student newspaper, which provides in-depth coverage of your school’s recent matches.

In the “Road To Glory”, there’s a possibility to broaden the feature, making it more immersive. For instance, if your player gets woken up by the fire alarm, it would add an exciting touch to see the school newspaper mention this event. While it’s not necessary to implement this idea, suggestions like these can contribute to making each mode feel more lively and engaging.

One alternative suggestion is to change the current space, known as the Trophy Room, into a true trophy room. Moving items within your own personal space could offer an interesting dynamic, serving as a visual reminder of your achievements.

Apart from my reservations, I must say I’m quite taken by the game’s visual appeal. In fact, as far as sports games go, College Football 26 boasts the most stunning graphics at present.

It’s pleasant to notice that the menus now feature a wider variety of music instead of just a drumline. Regarding the music, there are plenty of songs available to maintain a refreshing atmosphere. Consequently, the audio quality has significantly enhanced, which is a significant improvement.

If feasible, it would be great to have alternative versions of the same song. To be honest, I’d appreciate a wider range of instruments beyond just those played by the marching band.
