Gameplay details for DMM Games exclusive PC and Android game Muv-Luv: Girls Garden revealed

Exnoa unveiled a debut presentation for the upcoming free-to-play game, Muv-Luv: Girls Garden. The details of this new title were disclosed, with its release planned exclusively on DMM Games platform (both web browser and downloadable program versions available) for PC in Japan by 2025. Additionally, it will also be accessible on Android devices within the same time frame.

Hayato Tashiro, the game’s main scenario plotter, and Siino, the character designer, have shared that the upcoming game, Girls Garden, will introduce a fresh world setting unrelated to previous Muv-Luv installments. In this new adventure, players take on the role of an amnesiac commander, whose primary duty is to assemble a mech squad and delve into a mysterious subterranean labyrinth known as “Maze.

Based on its title “Girls Garden,” it’s hinted that the mech pilots in this game are exclusively women. Furthermore, it has been verified that the game employs a Gacha system for character collection, where each character is assigned different rarities such as SR and SSR.

In the game at hand, the mechanical units will primarily be referred to as Maze Protectors. These units are being crafted by an individual known as both Wataru Inata and Koh Inaba. Prior to his current role, he was employed at FromSoftware, where he contributed to Armored Core: For Answer and Another Century’s Episode: R. Additionally, he worked for Monolith Soft on Xenoblade Chronicles X and its sequel, Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Afterwards, Inata decided to work independently, creating designs for various anime titles such as Macross Delta: Absolute Live, Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, and Grendizer U.

In this main gameplay style, your team will navigate through a labyrinth. Encounters with the enigmatic Maze Shifter creatures are inevitable and will be displayed with a role-playing game (RPG) feel. Interestingly, all actions during battles are automated. Your role is limited to setting up the squad composition before each sortie, as well as selecting stat-enhancing artifacts and determining the path for the next exploration point.
