Elon Musk launches his own anime girl AI companion

Elon Musk’s AI, named ‘Grok’, has received an update that transforms its appearance into a captivating anime-style female character, which may excite fans of Japanese animation.

On the 9th of July, Elon Musk disclosed the progression of his xAI project with the unveiling of Grok 4, a model he considers to be superior to any PhD qualification across all academic disciplines, without exceptions.

Apart from unveiling Grok 4, Musk additionally disclosed a robust monthly subscription priced at $300, dubbed SuperGrok Heavy, offering users the privilege of utilizing novel features as well.

On Monday, July 14th, I was thrilled to learn about Elon’s massive update for SuperGrok – it’s going to be a game-changer! The update unveiled an anime AI avatar buddy, modeled after the captivating character Misa Amane from Death Note. Can’t wait to see this in action!

Grok gets a new AI girl companion

In the context of X, Musk demonstrated the partner app by guiding users to enable it through SuperGrok’s preferences. To do this, they should click on the double line icon located at the top left corner, then select the gear icon situated at the lower right corner of the screen.

Users can now interact with three new characters – Ani, a fresh AI companion, who happens to be a panda named Rudy; his slightly naughty counterpart, Bad Rudy; and an upcoming male anime character called Chad. Keep an eye out for Chad’s arrival in the near future!

As an enthusiast, I’d like to share a fascinating perspective: Account @AutismCapital, frequently engaged by Elon Musk, posits that the character Ani might have been intentionally modeled as an “uncopyrighted” interpretation of Misa from Death Note.

We’ve confirmed that the xAI team are Death Note fans. Elon: “Make me an un copyrighted Misa!”😂

The two figures bear striking resemblances, both sporting blonde hair and adorning themselves in gothic attire. Given Elon’s known affinity for anime and video game personalities, this likeness isn’t entirely unexpected.

In the year 2023, he shared images of his former partner, Amber Heard, dressed as the character Mercy from Overwatch – a costume he had asked her to don.

In the past few months, artificial intelligence companions have gained significant popularity. Interestingly, about 40% of grown-ups express a willingness to go on a date with an AI chatbot, and even more intriguing, approximately 26% confess that they’ve already flirted with one.
