“A game, once sold, belongs to the customer.” Vice President of European Parliament speaks out about Stop Killing Games campaign

In approximately two weeks, we’re nearing the deadline for the “Stop Killing Games” campaign to reach one million signatures. Recently, it seemed like the Stop Killing Games (SKG) campaign was about to crumble, as some speculated whether Pirate Software might have contributed to its demise. However, things took an unexpected turn when more YouTubers started talking about the issue, propelling the campaign towards collecting a million signatures. As the subject matter gained momentum, game publishers issued a statement explaining their viewpoint on why the campaign’s demands were unwarranted.

It appears that in his recent video, Ross Scott mentioned that SpaceKid Gaming (SKG) is planning to make contact with members of the European Parliament for their next major move. Notably, this message seems to have been received as evidenced by Nicolae Stefanuta, a Vice President within the European Parliament, who has now shown interest.

It’s evident that influential figures are taking notice of this project, which is gaining traction and catching the eye of politicians. Although it remains unclear if the petition will be approved by the European Parliament, or if a single politician’s support ensures success, it does imply that the matter won’t be overlooked.
