Fans Are Shocked: Disney+ Axes Beloved Marvel Feature Overnight!

Among the standout Marvel-themed offerings on Disney+, one has recently been removed from the streaming platform. Over the past four years, Marvel has been a significant contributor to Disney+, releasing close to a dozen series and specials under the comic book giant’s umbrella for its parent company. As the service evolves, some beloved features have emerged and vanished.

Starting July 1, 2025, the “Marvel Animated Rewind” channel will no longer be active on Disney+. This channel showcased many classic Marvel animated series, such as “Spider-Man: The Animated Series” and the original “X-Men: The Animated Series” from the 1990s, providing fans with a glimpse into Marvel’s rich television history. While these shows will continue to be available on Disney+, they will only be accessible individually from that date forward.

Approximately a month has passed since the launch of the Marvel TV stream on Disney+, which delivers a steady flow of classic animated Marvel television series. In all, 16 vintage Marvel animated series were added to this stream, showcasing iconic characters such as the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, the Silver Surfer, Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, Wolverine, and the X-Men.

Moving forward, I’m excited to share that some fresh streams are stepping up to replace the “Marvel Animated Rewind,” as well as our current ones. These channels are here to bridge the gap and keep the Marvel animation spirit alive.
