As the heat waves roll in this summer, I find myself seeking ways to stay cool. Little did I know that in Japan, they’ve been using chilling tales and activities for just that purpose! It seems that Goddess of Victory: Nikke shares this unique approach with their latest summer event – Boom! The Ghost! – set to launch on July 17th!

In the context of the Summer Season event, you’ll find yourself exploring a deserted ocean liner on the surface in this fresh narrative. Initially, it seems like a routine reconnaissance mission, but things soon take a turn for the eerie, forcing your team to invent ghost-hunting tools to quell the strange occurrences.

Besides ghosts, the ship is also inhabited by two fresh characters accompanying SSR Dorothy – Serendipity and SSR Elegg: Boom and Shock. They’ve boarded the ship for distinct purposes; one in search of their lost wings, while the other seeks to unravel the ship’s mysteries.

Everybody loves the sunshine

Of course, it wouldn’t be the summer without swimsuits, at least where Goddess of Victory: Nikke is concerned, I’m sure. Four of the most popular swimsuits from previous summer events will make a return, while three new outfits will join the lineup.

Additionally, even if swimsuits hold no interest for you, there’s still a wealth of activities to engage with. This is because this upcoming event includes not just a new boss challenge and mini game, but also the Melodies of Victory concert streaming free on YouTube, The Doro Family Tour (from July 18th to 25th), and Nikke’s appearance at Anime NYC (August 21st-24th) in the upcoming months.
