At last, we’ve discovered when the next update for Witchfire, a role-playing shooter game developed by The Astronauts studio currently in early access, is set to launch. This update, known as Webgrave, will be available on July 28th this year.

This upcoming update for Witchfire is set to be its largest yet, according to the developers themselves. Last week, they unveiled the adjustments coming to the game’s role-playing mechanics. Now, they have disclosed additional new features that will be integrated.

  1. Two new levels of Gnosis will be added (the higher the level, the more locations we can unlock and the more hidden things we can see, which provides access to better loot. However, the witch will also start to respect us more and send us increasingly difficult challenges).
  2. A shotgun named Nemesis will be added to the game.
  3. In the next two weeks, the creators will publish two more articles to share the latest novelties from the Webgrave update.

In this latest upgrade, we’re introducing a brand new, expansive map that eclipses all existing ones in size within the game. This area will also play host to an entirely fresh breed of adversaries.

The ongoing development of Witchfire isn’t wrapping up during its early access phase. Instead, there are two significant game updates scheduled for this year. However, it’s the first quarter of 2026 that marks the release of version 1.0.
