Since its release, Elden Ring: Nightreign has introduced three upgraded bosses known as Everdark Sovereigns. Before more arrive in the realm of the Lands Between, the game’s developer, FromSoftware, is offering players a chance for limited-time rematches with these original three bosses.
Starting from tomorrow, July 10, over the next three weeks, I’ll be seeing the duos of Everdark Sovereign versions of Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest, and Darkdrift Knight returning to the game. Luckily, we won’t have to face off against them simultaneously; it appears this is a chance for those who missed the initial runs of the power-amped Nightlords to give them another go!
According to FromSoftware’s plan, the Gaping Jaw and the Darkdrift Knight are set to appear together first. Here’s their complete schedule:
1. Gaping Jaw and Darkdrift Knight
2. Smelter Demon and Executioner’s Chariot
3. Capra Demon and Hydra
4. Bell Gargoyles
5. Ornstein and Smough (DLC)
6. Four Kings
7. Seath the Scaleless
8. Manus, Father of the Abyss
9. Artorias of the Abyss (DLC)
10. Gehrman, The First Hunter (DLC)
- July 10 – 17: Gaping Jaw, Darkdrift Knight
- July 17 – 24: Sentient Pest, Darkdrift Knight
- July 24 – 31: Gaping Jaw, Sentient Pest
Hey there, fellow adventurers! If you’ve been taking a break from the thrilling world of Elden Ring: Nightreign, let me tell you why you might want to jump back in. The game has some truly formidable foes waiting for you to challenge them. I can’t wait to face these beasts and claim their power as my own!
For players who have been with the game since its launch and find it disappointing to encounter familiar Everdark bosses again, fear not! FromSoftware has confirmed that they are still developing upgraded versions of bosses such as Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. The release dates for these new versions will be announced at a later time. One interesting theory circulating among fans is that Tricephalos might continue to divide into more dogs, resembling a canine-version of the Hydra monster from Greek mythology.
So far, all of the Everdark Sovereigns have been quite popular. Although Gaping Jaw created quite a stir with its sudden appearance, the more subtle enhancements to Darkdrift Knight and Sentient Pest have significantly enriched every matchup.
For Elden Ring Nightreign, more downloadable content is yet to come, though it has only been a few months since its release. This pace of fresh content and occasional limited-time events seems reasonable to me. While features like duos and crossplay would be welcome additions, there’s still plenty to explore in the Lands Between in the meantime.
