It was widely anticipated that she would attend the event, and now it’s official: Aurora has been included in Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of the Storybook Vale Unwritten Realm update. However, you’ll have to work towards unlocking her.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, a multitude of characters keep getting introduced through regular updates. Most recently, we’ve welcomed Peter Pan, Alice, and the Cheshire Cat. Now, joining the cast are Maleficent and Aurora, who are also known as Sleeping Beauty.
So, if you have the expansion and are looking to unlock Aurora, here’s all you need to know.
How to unlock Aurora
Complete the Storybook Vale main quests
In Storybook Vale’s central plot, you’re tasked with convincing Hades and Maleficent of their mistakes. Helping Hades is relatively straightforward, but to engage with Maleficent, you must first journey to her castle. Only then will she consent to help you reveal Aurora.
Unlock Maleficent
Once you’ve wrapped up the primary story missions, there’s still a lot more to do. To access the quests that lead to finding Aurora, you first have to unlock Maleficent.

The Missing Princess
To advance that far with The Missing Princess, it’s necessary that your relationship with Flynn Rider has progressed to a level of at least friendship seven.
After obtaining this state, converse with him, and he’ll guide you in locating her whereabouts. Regrettably, due to the curse, his memory is limited. To achieve this, you must advance your relationship with him to friendship level seven. Following that, you’ll be able to talk to him again, and he’ll direct you to unearth and open three pages from Aurora’s Diary.
These are in the following locations:
- Near a waterfall on the west side of the Bind.
- Near a beanstalk root by Maleficent’s castle.
- By some water in the Elysian Fields.
You’ll have to unearth the documents and engage with them. Upon doing so, converse with Flynn, who will share that Aurora intended to communicate with the Lorekeeper, but didn’t show up afterwards.
