Following successful collaborations with Five Nights at Freddy’s and Tokyo Ghoul, Dead by Daylight (DBD) is set to welcome characters from The Walking Dead universe. This addition includes two new survivors – Rick and Michonne – each bringing their unique perks, particularly highlighting Rick’s Last Stand ability. But wait, there’s more! With the release of Chapter 9.1.0, a plethora of changes will also be introduced to the game. Let’s delve into them.
Is Fallen Refuge a new map in DBD?
In simpler terms, while the new addition to custom matches in PTB is called Fallen Refuge and appears as a standalone location, upon closer examination of the patch notes, it’s revealed to be an extension or tile that can appear within other realms instead of being a separate map.
This response doesn’t completely clarify if the feature will be accessible across all maps. In the game, Fallen Refuge is associated with the Withered Isle Realm in PTD, suggesting that the extension might only apply there. Even though the information provided is unclear, it raises a minor concern. It’s also worth noting that Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria belongs to this particular universe. The Walking Dead tile on the FNAF map seems questionable.
Pyramid Head buff in DBD
Previously, Pyramid Head wasn’t exceptionally powerful in terms of killing opponents. Utilizing his power demanded skill, and his additional features weren’t particularly impressive. To enhance his performance, the developers have decided to boost him. Of course, there are also some adjustments made to maintain balance with these improvements, so let’s examine all updates concerning this character.
- Increased Punishment of the Damned’s range to 10 meters (was 8).
- Increased maximum Rites of Judgement duration to 10 seconds (was 5).
- Increased Rites of Judgement trail lifetime to 90 seconds (was 75).
- Decreased Rites of Judgement movement speed to 4.2m/s (was 4.4).
- The inputs for Rites of Judgement, Punishment of the Damned, and sending a Survivor to a cage can now be held, starting the action as soon as it becomes available.
- Survivors who are rescued from a cage now gain 10% Haste and Endurance for 10 seconds.
- Increased Bloodpoint score for rescuing a Survivor from a cage to 2000 (was 550).
Additionally, developers reworked many of his add-ons.
Other changes in DBD 9.1.0
Besides this update, developers have also worked on numerous additional modifications set to roll out with patch 9.1.0. In other words, what new features can we expect?
- Clown, Pig, Knight and Oni power and add-ons modifications.
- New item – Fog Vial.
- Maps and Keys rework.
- Changes in survivors’ perks. On the list we will find Potential Energy, Any Means Necessary, Better Together, Still Sight, Built to Last, Appraisal, Detective’s Hunch, Déja Vu and Streetwise.
