X CEO Linda Yaccarino steps down after two years

As a dedicated gamer, I’ve got some news to share – I recently stepped down from my role as CEO at X/Twitter, a position I held for two thrilling years post Elon Musk’s acquisition. It was an incredible journey!

In October 2022, Elon Musk acquired Twitter, and shortly afterwards, he named Linda as the CEO of the social media platform specializing in brief messages.

Since then, I’ve been proudly managing the platform, playing a significant role in its transformation from Twitter to X, and contributing to numerous feature releases along the way.

On Wednesday, July 9, Linda revealed she has left her role as CEO in a post on the platform.

Following an amazing two-year tenure, I’ve chosen to relinquish my role as CEO at X, she stated. It was when Elon Musk and I first discussed his dream for X that I realized it represented a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of this company’s extraordinary journey.

After joining as CEO, she immediately prioritized user safety and has since contributed to developments such as Community Notes and the forthcoming X Money feature.

She added: “I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world.”

In March, Elon Musk completed a colossal $33 billion transaction where he transferred ownership of X to his firm, XAI.
