Doom SNES Limited Run Collection And Rumble Controller Look Sick As Hell

This September marks the 30th anniversary of Doom’s debut on the Super Nintendo. However, Limited Run isn’t idle in anticipation for the celebration. They have unveiled a sneak peek of the collector’s edition of Doom SNES, along with a special vibrating controller that will work seamlessly with it.

Starting this coming Friday, July 11th, you’ll have the opportunity to pre-order two exciting versions of the game Doom: the collector’s edition and the standard edition. The collector’s edition will retail for $175, while the standard edition will be available for $100. Both editions will feature 14 levels that were not included in the original SNES release, along with nightmare mode, circle strafing, improved performance, and rumble support on playable SNES cartridges. Enjoy the enhanced gaming experience!

This special edition comes with a cartridge that appears to have been splattered with blood, an elegant box embellished with foil, a large poster (12″ x 16″), and an instruction manual. However, it doesn’t come with a controller. If you’re keen on testing the latest SNES Rumble Controller, you’ll need to place a separate order for it at $35. The pre-orders for this controller will go live on July 11.

At present, Doom for SNES stands alone as the game with rumble support. However, once a new compatible controller is launched, additional games might gain this feature in the future. Meanwhile, the 8BitDo wireless SNES controller available on Amazon lacks rumble functionality.

The advance booking for Doom SNES and the SNES Rumble Controller will continue until August 10th. Delivery is expected to take place in February 2026.

Prior to its arrival, the latest installment in the series, “Doom: The Dark Ages,” will be releasing an art book by Dark Horse Books in November.
