For the first time in a few weeks, Amazon began offering Nintendo Switch 2 games, yet the console itself and numerous official accessories were not available for purchase. However, during its Prime Day sale, Amazon has now stocked the Mario Kart bundle for Nintendo Switch 2 priced at $500 and the console by itself for $450. Unfortunately, both models are currently unavailable for direct purchase. Instead, customers can submit a request to buy the Nintendo Switch 2. Amazon advises that the Switch 2 is a popular item with limited quantities in stock.
More than a year after Amazon ceased selling first-party Nintendo games and hardware, we are yet to see the listings for the upcoming Switch 2. While Amazon has revised parts of its Nintendo store page to showcase newer releases, there is still no sign of the Switch 2’s products being available.
For the very first time on Amazon, you can purchase Nintendo’s latest and upcoming games for their Switch 2 console, such as Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Mario Kart World, enhanced versions of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and more. Interestingly, Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD, an exclusive remaster for Switch 2 of the popular 3DS RPG published by Square Enix, was previously unavailable on Amazon but is now back in stock.

Amazon and Nintendo have never explained why all Nintendo first-party products were taken off their online marketplace. As early as 2024, Amazon ceased selling Nintendo Switch games. Soon after, popular Nintendo games, official accessories, and even Switch Online subscriptions disappeared from sale. The same trend was observed at Walmart around the same time, but they managed to resolve their issues before the holiday season.
