In some American Wendy’s restaurants, the popular dish of chicken tenders has stealthily made a comeback, following a multi-year absence from the menu. This secret trial has ignited enthusiasm among devotees who have eagerly anticipated their resurgence.

Introduced back in 2003, Wendy’s served up their version of chicken tenders known as Homestyle Chicken Strips until they disappeared from the menu in 2019.

Now, according to reports online, the fast-food giant is back with another tender option.

Initially, the freshly introduced chicken tenders caught the attention of social media enthusiasts and food bloggers such as snack_qween_, who posted pictures of this novel dish on their Instagram accounts.

Wendy’s chicken tenders are incredibly juicy with delicious breading, and they were served fresh at my location, making them a perfect 10 out of 10! I didn’t even need their honey mustard or BBQ sauce to make them taste amazing!

Wendy’s releases chicken tenders

As fast-food restaurants keep growing their menus with more chicken options, tenders are now being offered. Back in May, McDonald’s introduced the McCrispy Strips ahead of the anticipated comeback of its Snack Wraps on July 10.

In June, Taco Bell jumped on the bandwagon of chicken dishes and temporarily offered crispy chicken strip variations, which could be found in both burrito and taco configurations.

At this moment, you can find the chicken tenders in selected Wendy’s locations, as they are being tested in a low-key market trial. The corporation hasn’t made an official statement about their comeback yet, so it’s uncertain whether these tenders will eventually be a regular feature on menus nationwide.
