Man stabbed over Pokemon cards after GameStop line-cutting argument

In a dispute over Pokemon trading cards, a man ended up getting hospitalized following an altercation that took place at a GameStop store in Colma, California.

On July 5, around 9:20 am, an incident took place at the GameStop located on Junipero Serra Boulevard, as reported by Colma police. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man who had sustained several stab wounds and cuts.

According to the police, the incident began when Miguel Orellanas-Flores attempted to jump ahead in line for Pokemon cards, sparking an argument with another individual. This disagreement escalated into a physical altercation. The authorities claim that Orellanas-Flores then struck this person at the back of the head using a glass mason jar.

Subsequently, events unfolded quickly. The second individual under scrutiny, a 27-year-old named Isaiah Calles, is said to have seized the shattered glass and repeatedly stabbed the victim. Swiftly, videos of this disturbing incident appeared on social media platforms, offering graphic depictions of the violent altercation.

Men arrested over Pokemon card stabbing

Both individuals involved in the incident hastily departed from the location, each using a different vehicle. However, before they could get away completely, the victim quickly took photographs of their cars and license plates. The police were able to find one suspect just a short distance away from the scene, while the second individual was discovered nearby in Daly City.

Initially, the injured individual was urgently taken to a hospital due to severe, potentially fatal wounds. However, updates later revealed that they had stabilized.

In San Francisco, Calles and Orellanas-Flores found themselves under arrest for several serious crimes, such as using a dangerous instrument in an attack and conspiring together. At present, they’re detained in the San Mateo County Jail.
