Save On Optimus Prime Lego Transformers Set Ahead Of Prime Day 2025

Among the top-tier and well-regarded constructable figures in the Lego Icons series stands Optimus Prime, and it’s not hard to see why. This impressive 1,508-piece collectible showcase piece boasts a remarkably innovative 2-in-1 design that enables fans of Transformers to transform their beloved Autobot leader into his iconic truck form.

As the countdown to Prime Day 2025 begins, several prominent retailers have replenished stocks of the Optimus Prime 1,508-piece set, offering it at a reduced price of $144—a savings of 20% from its original Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $180. While stocks are dwindling on Amazon, you can still grab this deal at Walmart and Target as well.

Three retailers have run out of stock for this adult-oriented display model multiple times this year, and it’s back now, but keep in mind that Optimus Prime was unavailable everywhere from last holiday season until March. Currently, The Lego Store has the product in stock, but at its original price of $180. Officially, Lego categorizes Optimus Prime as hard to find. Given the scarcity and prolonged shortages, it’s possible that the Optimus Prime kit, launched in 2022, might be phased out soon.

Amazon is offering reduced prices on two more legendary movie vehicles as well. The LEGO Icons Back to the Future Time Machine is now down to $170 (originally $200). This 3-in-1 construction set allows you to choose which DeLorean model from the trilogy you’d like to build, unlike the Transformers sets. If you decide to switch models later on, you can disassemble part of your creation and rebuild it using the instructions for one of the other designs available. Similar discounts are also being offered at Walmart and Target.

Currently, enthusiasts of Dune can enjoy a 20% discount on the Lego Icons: Atreides Royal Ornithopter, reducing its price from $165 to $132. This 1,369-piece construction set includes six Lego minifigures.
