Is Rexy dead in Jurassic World Rebirth? You may not like the answer

It’s widely believed that Rexy, a central figure in the Jurassic Park series, holds great significance. With no sign of her in Jurassic World: Dominion, spectators can’t help but speculate whether she might have met her end.

Initially, she made a powerful entrance on our screens back in 1993, breaking free from her confinement and causing havoc for Alan Frant and his companions. They found themselves running for their lives on Isla Nubar, trying to evade this fearsome creature before meeting the same fate as Donald Gennaro did in the restroom.

Rexy made her appearance again in 2015’s Jurassic World, joining forces with Blue to fight the Indominus Rex. Afterward, she was allowed to roam freely until the events of Fallen Kingdom, where she scared off a band of mercenaries at the film’s beginning. She managed to survive the eruption of Mount Sibo, and in Jurassic World Dominion, she overcame a Giganotosaurus (thanks to a Therizinosaurus) before ultimately settling down for a rest at the Biosyn sanctuary alongside two other Tyrannosaurs named Buck and Doe.

To put it simply, she’s experienced a great deal in life. Given the length of time that has passed, it’s not surprising that devoted followers of the series are keen to know where she is now – above all, whether she is still among us.

Rexy is probably already dead in Jurassic World Rebirth

It seems that Rexy isn’t shown in Jurassic World Dominion, but it appears quite probable that she has passed away.

Initially, The story of Rebirth unfolds in the year 2027, a full five years following the occurrences of Dominion. Contrastingly, the original Jurassic Park film was established in 1993 – that’s a considerable span of 34 years. Given that Tyrannosaurus rex typically live around 30 years, it’s quite remarkable that Rexy is still alive considering the hardships she has faced throughout this lengthy period.

Furthermore, Director Colin Trevorrow has suggested that Rexy might be on her way to a dinosaur afterlife.

As a die-hard dinosaur enthusiast, I can’t help but point out that T. Rex typically lives for about 28 years. Given this, our beloved Rexy might be nearing the twilight of her days in the Dominion.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but be awestruck by the story of this remarkable being. Though long gone, at an age not unlike my own, she summoned the fortitude to defy the sands of time and seek vengeance for her untimely demise. A staggering 65 million years later, her spirit remained undeterred. It seems that sometimes, justice, like a patient sentinel, waits its turn before it strikes.

In the sanctuary of Dominion, she had almost reached the end of her days, and five years have passed since then. Regardless of her tranquil existence there, it’s extremely rare for her to be as energetic and healthy as before.

To clarify, there’s a possibility she might still be alive. In the movie Fallen Kingdom, they mention that dinosaurs living in captivity can survive a little longer. It is important to note that the T-rex in Rebirth is not Rexy; it is an entirely different dinosaur on another island.

From my perspective as a gamer, if I were a dinosaur directing a movie, I wouldn’t blurt out something like, “Alright, here’s one human approaching, and here’s another one over yonder.” That’s not exactly how I’d script my prehistoric blockbuster!

You could say, ‘Look! There’s Robert De Niro over there, and that’s Javier Bardem yonder.’ The original T-Rex from Jurassic Park was played by a single actor, but let me introduce another one to you.
