WhistlinDiesel & Steve-O put triangle wheels on four-wheeler in absurd experiment

In a fresh new release, YouTube personality Cody ‘WhistlinDiesel‘ Detwiler showcases his latest video, where he puts various unusual wheel types on a four-wheeler for testing. These innovative designs range from oval and triangular shapes to razor-edged reaper wheels. The daredevil comedian Steve-O lends his hand as the appointed safety officer in this intriguing experiment.

WhistlinDiesel has garnered a significant fanbase by testing the boundaries of automobiles, trucks, and off-road vehicles in unexpected manners. In February, he destroyed a Rolls Royce worth $400,000 and sold jars containing fragments of it. In August 2024, he put the resilience of the Tesla Cybertruck to the test by sticking C4 to the door and allowing Jake Paul to punch its windows.

On July 2, 2025, Detwiler fitted various wheel types, including triangle-shaped ones, onto his quad bike in his most recent video. For safety during testing, he enlisted the aid of Steve-O.

Oval, triangle and reaper wheels put to the test

Initially, the vehicle was equipped with unique circular wheels for a trial run over grass and mud. Contrary to initial skepticism, it performed admirably on these terrains until it encountered trouble while navigating through a deeper section of mud submerged in water.

“I think the ovals have a weak spot,” the YouTuber said.

He quipped that we’ve been using circles for quite some time, but now we’re moving towards a more contemporary approach. We’re opting for triangles designed for an exceptionally smooth ride instead.

WhistlinDiesel calculated using ChatGPT that a four-wheeler needed to travel at least 18 miles per hour to ensure a smooth ride, given the wheel design. Remarkably, he found the ride to be even smoother than anticipated.

During the conclusive trial, spike-covered reaper wheels were fitted onto the all-terrain vehicle. To evaluate their performance, Detwiler drove over a table, some chairs, and traversed the grassy and muddy region surrounding his pond.

Occasionally, viewers find WhistlinDiesel’s content so extraordinary that they suspect it’s not real, such as the time when his Ferrari appeared to catch fire while he was cruising through a meadow.
