Brad Pitt disclosed that he and Tom Cruise decided not to take part in the movie known as “Ford v Ferrari” due to an early draft of the script, titled “Go Like Hell,” which was originally conceived by director Joseph Kosinski. The story, based on the 2009 book by A.J. Baime with the subtitle “Ford, Ferrari, and their Battle for Speed and Glory at Le Mans,” experienced a significant setback when it was gaining momentum. It appears that Cruise opted out of the project after reconsidering his role in it.
