Chuck E. Cheese launches new arcade aimed at adults

As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share the news that Chuck E. Cheese is introducing a fresh adult-oriented arcade concept named Chuck’s Arcade. This innovative idea, according to the company, serves as a contemporary tribute to the games and individuals who have played a significant role in shaping the brand we all love.

These gaming centers cater primarily to adults, offering a mix of classic and contemporary games. You’ll find favorites like Donkey Kong and Mortal Kombat sitting alongside newer titles such as Halo and the modern take on Connect Four called Connect Four Hoops.

Just like the initial family-oriented sites, every Chuck’s Arcade features a supervision by one of the brand’s robot characters, such as Chuck E. Cheese and other musicians from Munch’s Imaginary Band.

Chuck’s Arcade caters to adults as well, providing prizes, and offers merchandise that evokes nostalgia. David McKillips, CEO of Chuck E. Cheese, described this approach as a “logical progression” for the company, after a recent $350 million renovation of its 500 locations, during which they took out the animatronics from their stores.

Where is Chuck’s Arcade located?

Here are ten locations that have been established in various U.S. cities, including St. Petersburg, Florida, Tulsa, Oklahoma, El Paso, Texas, and St. Louis, Missouri.

Every venue showcases exclusive artwork that underscores the brand’s past, with some locations even providing dining and beverage choices. Notably, the Kansas City outlet houses a pizzeria offering both pizza and alcoholic beverages like beer and wine, as confirmed by a representative of the company.

The business is launching a fresh initiative, having made progress in overcoming its financial hardships. Previously, the company had to file for bankruptcy in 2020, but it has since adapted by introducing revised pricing schemes that cater to budget-friendly households.

Approximately a year has passed since the initial news broke about Chuck E. Cheese planning an adult-oriented television series modeled after the popular show, Squid Game.
