In the game Destiny 2, the Judgment Hand Cannon has been refurbished with fresh abilities, and it’s loaded with several ideal combinations (god rolls) that players are eagerly seeking. However, you’ll need to act quickly as you won’t have much time to acquire them.
You can collect the updated version of the weapon, obtained during a temporary phase of the Rite of the Nine’s Prophecy dungeon in Destiny 2, until the launch of the Edge of Fate expansion on July 15, after which it will no longer be farmable.
Given the situation, there’s about one fortnight remaining to secure the desired Judgment rolls, as they are currently among the best weapons in both Player versus Environment (PvE) and Player versus Player (PvP), when equipped with appropriate perks.
Here are the rolls you’ll want to be on the lookout for when farming Prophecy.
Judgment PvE & PvP god rolls – Meta analysis

PvE God Roll | PvP God Roll |
---|---|
Barrel: Fastdraw HCS Magazine: Flared Magwell Perk 1: Headstone or Demolitionist Perk 2: Paracausal Affinity, Timed Payload, or Rimestealer Masterwork: Reload Speed | Barrel: Fastdraw HCS or Hitmark HCS Magazine: Accurized Rounds Perk 1: Keep Away or Slideshot Perk 2: Opening Shot or Precision Instrument Masterwork: Range |
First off, let’s tackle PvE. For optimal performance with the barrel and magazine, go for Fastdraw HCS and Flared Magwell respectively. These two together significantly increase reload speed and handling, resulting in a more responsive Judgement.
When choice presents itself, it’s the benefits that shine. If you’re using a Stasis subclass, pairing Headstone and Paracausal affinity is an excellent combination. The latter increases Judgment damage by 20% when any enemy killed with a Stasis-infused attack is struck, while the former amplifies area-of-effect (AoE) damage and complements Stasis Aspects & Fragments.
In an alternative scenario, Timed Payload offers a damage boost similar to Paracausal, yet without any subclass interaction. For players focusing on grenade setups, Demolitionist stands out as the top choice due to its added advantage of bypassing Judgment’s relatively slow reload speed.
In Player versus Player (PvP) scenarios, you have several choices. For instance, in your initial perk selection, you can pick between Keep Away and Slideshot. Lone Wolf, although listed in the first column, has been excluded here because the boosted reload speed of Keep Away is significantly advantageous to ignore.
Essentially, the decision between Opening Shot and Precision Instrument hinges on your proficiency with Hand Cannons. If you’re a skilled marksman who often lands critical hits, Opening Shot will offer greater value. On the other hand, if you sometimes miss those crucial shots, Precision Instrument is more lenient in its requirements.
We’ve concluded our exploration of the finest Judgment rolls, but don’t forget to explore all the information we have on Edge of Fate and upcoming Destiny 2 expansions.
