In simpler terms, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was found guilty of two counts linked to prostitution, but he was cleared on three other charges, such as racketeering and human trafficking. These accusations originated from three different cases that were brought against him between 2024 and 2025.
Initially, Combs was apprehended in September 2024 and held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. As more women spoke up, two further accusations were made against him. He maintains his innocence by pleading not guilty to all charges and denying all allegations.
All Charges and Verdicts in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs case
Here are all five of Diddy’s charges as well as the verdict:
- Count One: Racketeering conspiracy – Not guilty
- Count Two: Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion (Victim-1/Cassie) – Not guilty
- Count Three: Transportation to engage in prostitution (Cassie) – Guilty
- Count Four: Sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion (Victim-2/Jane) – Not guilty
- Count Five: Transportation to engage in prostitution (Victim-2) – Guilty
Initially, it was claimed that Combs utilized his companies such as Bad Boy Entertainment and Combs Global for illegal activities within an organized crime network. However, three women were implicated in this count, yet the court determined him innocent.
In a second allegation linked to Cassie Ventura, it was claimed that Diddy compelled her into performing sexual acts for commercial purposes. She testified that he hired male prostitutes to interact with her in a sexual manner while he observed, a claim the defense contended was consensual. Ultimately, the jury found him not guilty.
He was found guilty in relation to the third accusation, which stated that he illegally moved people, among them Cassie, between states with the purpose of engaging in acts of prostitution.
In the fourth point, attention centered around a confidential informant referred to as ‘Jane.’ She claimed that Combs pressured her into participating in sexually explicit acts, and further asserted that she used drugs to endure the situation. However, ultimately, Combs was found not guilty.
The fifth charge mirrored the third and was based on Jane’s testimony. Combs was found guilty.
In January 2025, an updated indictment was issued, bringing in more witnesses, yet no fresh charges were added. The sentencing remains undecided, with each conviction potentially leading to a maximum imprisonment term of 10 years.
In January, a documentary examining all the legal accusations leveled at the rapper was premiered on Netflix, produced by 50 Cent.
