She Cannot Sing!

In the past few weeks, the Chrisley family has undeniably been swept up in a storm of events once again. The pardon granted by President Donald Trump to Todd and Julie Chrisley meant they could complete their prison sentences early and reunite with their grateful loved ones. Interestingly enough, the family’s head seemed particularly grateful that he didn’t have to endure daughter Savannah Chrisley’s amusing mishap on The Masked Singer.

Savannah, the daughter, has been occupied in shielding her parents from gossips and collaborating with others on a fresh reality TV show centered around their family. Yet, it was quite unexpected when the well-known podcaster made an appearance disguised as an Afghan Hound in the “Wizard of Oz” episode of The Masked Singer during Season 11. Although her elimination wasn’t shocking, considering the awkwardness of her performance even for this particular series. She confessed to TopMob that she had neither watched the movie nor listened to the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

During an appearance on ABC News’ program IMPACT x Nightline: The Chrisleys Life After Lockup, Savannah Chrisley and her parents discussed some serious topics. However, the mood lightened when the topic of Fox’s reality competition came up, as it was one of several TV projects Savannah took on to assist the family financially. Despite his usually polite demeanor, Todd Chrisley delivered a humorous critique, or lack thereof, stating:

I didn’t catch The Masked Singer last night as I felt awkward for her performance, but I had a feeling it would be like that since she isn’t a strong vocalist.

It’s not as if Todd Chrisley’s words were extremely critical, but it’s certainly entertaining to listen to a celebrity admit that they steered clear of their child’s television appearance due to second-hand embarrassment.

I wouldn’t dream of asking you if you’d let your own daughter appear on a reality TV show, as I might have to invoke my Fifth Amendment rights and perhaps enjoy a drink at the same time.

Regardless of his perspective, Savannah remained unfazed and even echoed her agreement more strongly, stating:

Yeah, that was awful.

Despite not being at all inclined to watch Savannah’s episode of The Masked Singer to immerse himself in its audio marvels, Todd acknowledged her courage and enthusiasm for daring to do it. In his words:

“Even though I didn’t feel the slightest inclination to catch her episode of The Masked Singer to enjoy its sonic wonders myself, Savannah deserves credit for mustering up the courage and spirit to go through with it in the first place.

It seems to me that what makes it striking is that she undertook that action without worrying about her capabilities.

He chuckled again, unable to resist adding another jab at his child even after the compliment had been given. Fathers can be relentless, indeed.

On the other end of the spectrum regarding parental responses, Julie Chrisley stated that she did watch the episode, yet didn’t express any significant reactions. It seems she chose to keep quiet instead, perhaps feeling it was best to avoid stirring things up, or in this case, not to provoke the vocal Afghan Hound.
