Death Stranding 2 Could Be Causing Some PS5s To Overheat

In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, there’s a wealth of items for gamers to uncover, but a handful of enthusiasts have reported an apparent overheating problem with some PlayStation 5 systems.

Users on Reddit, as reported by Push Square, have shared numerous instances where Death Stranding 2 allegedly leads PlayStation 5 systems to overheat when the in-game map is displayed. Players have mentioned that the map triggers the PS5’s fan to operate at high speed, leading to an audible increase in noise, before the console alerts them with an overheating warning.

As a gamer, I’ve been noticing some unusual heat-up issues with my PlayStation 5. Some fellow gamers suspect that the map menu on the game might be running without a fixed frame rate, which could potentially be causing this overheating issue. Strangely enough, none of us Pro PS5 owners have reported this problem yet, but one user has posted a video on YouTube showing how the map menu affects their console repeatedly. Hopefully, Kojima Productions will address this issue in an update once they become aware of it.

Hideo Kojima, the director and creator of Death Stranding 2, has disclosed that he personally included references to his past in the game as Easter eggs. In a different conversation, Kojima labeled Death Stranding 2 as his toughest project yet, admitting that it almost didn’t make it to production.

In Death Stranding 2, enthusiasts have found an Easter egg celebrating a player’s birthday. This hidden detail becomes apparent when the game is played on one’s own special day. Additionally, players are able to construct paths through the wilderness by consistently traversing the same route.

Titan Books is set to publish “The Art of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach” this autumn. This art book promises a comprehensive exploration into the genesis of Kojima’s newest game, along with showcasing the artwork utilized during its development process.
