Although significant Xbox titles are set to arrive on PS5 this year, it’s worth noting that the direction of content sharing remains predominantly one-way. It appears Sony isn’t rushing to allow their popular franchise games to play within the Xbox gaming environment. However, an update for the Xbox PC app will enable you to experience some leading PlayStation games in a roundabout manner.
Microsoft recently introduced an updated gaming library feature for its Xbox PC application. This new function enables users to view all their PC games across various storefronts, such as Epic Games Store and Steam. As The Verge’s Tom Warren reported, this means popular PlayStation titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales (which have been ported to PC) could also appear within the Xbox app.
PlayStation PC games on Xbox. Yup 👍

It’s not overly unexpected as Microsoft has previously announced that the forthcoming ROG Xbox Ally portable devices will support playing Sony’s PlayStation games which are available on PC. However, it’s important to note that there won’t be any Xbox achievements or extra features for these PlayStation ports on the Xbox Ally.
In a different document, Warren proposes that Microsoft’s ultimate goal is to transform Xbox into something similar to Steam. Previously, Microsoft has tried unsuccessfully to outshine Valve’s Steam, but instead of directly challenging Steam, the company seems more focused on integrating its features into their own platform.
There remains uncertainty regarding the Xbox brand’s future, but Xbox President Sarah Bond has disclosed some insights about the upcoming next-gen Xbox console, as yet unnamed. During her presentation to gamers, Bond emphasized that their games would not be restricted to one console or marketplace.
According to a new piece of information, Microsoft appears to have abandoned its idea of creating an exclusive handheld Xbox device. Instead, they’re focusing on backing the ROG Xbox Ally and other external devices. Additionally, Xbox and Meta have collaborated on a special edition of the Meta Quest 3S, known as the Xbox Edition. However, this collaboration will only be available for a temporary period.
