Metagen Therapeutics is currently seeking stool donations for medical study purposes. As reported by SoraNews24, the company offers a compensation of approximately 5,000 yen ($34) per sample, which will be utilized in creating medications for individuals suffering from various health conditions such as ulcerative colitis, esophageal cancer, gastric cancer, and other diseases.

Prospective participants should not show up unannounced and submit samples casually. Instead, only individuals aged between 18 and 65 in good health and agreeing to a comprehensive screening process are eligible. Following an initial online evaluation, selected candidates undergo a detailed medical examination at a hospital. If chosen, they’re required to provide stool samples at the company’s designated Donation Room located within Tsuruoka Science Park.
