Marvel’s Thunderbolts Is Getting A 4K Steelbook Edition Next Month

In the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has taken fans on quite a thrilling journey with its ups and downs. One such downturn occurred in February with Captain America: Brave New World. However, the Avengers team is ready to reassure their followers that there’s still plenty of undiscovered territory within the MCU for Disney to explore. Notably, Thunderbolts, or The New Avengers, may not have been a blockbuster hit at the box office, but the action-packed film featuring an ensemble cast of unconventional antiheroes was highly appreciated by critics. Critically acclaimed as the highest-rated Marvel movie in almost four years on Rotten Tomatoes, you can soon own a special collector’s edition of this movie on 4K Blu-ray.

The Limited Edition Steelbook of the Thunderbolts movie can be preordered for $45 at both Amazon and Walmart. If you’re fine with watching the film in high definition 1080p resolution, Walmart offers an exclusive Blu-ray edition that includes Pop-up artwork as a special feature. The Thunderbolts will be available on both 4K and standard Blu-ray formats starting on July 29.

Thunderbolts narrates the journey of Marvel’s secondary team of heroes, comprising former stars, those who could have been great, and less-than-ideal substitutes for Earth’s premier superheroes, owing to their questionable and even criminal backgrounds. Initially at odds following a plot to eliminate one another, these anti-heroes eventually form bonds and join forces to combat a significant danger, despite the fact that they are often perceived as an inferior version of the Avengers in the eyes of the world. In this story, they are more like the Temu equivalent of the Avengers.
