Will we get Peak game on VR? Developers have made it clear

A well-known villain from gaming history once said a quote about insanity, which essentially means doing the same action repeatedly while expecting different results. It seems the team behind Aggro Crab studio, who brought us Another Crab’s Treasure, have internalized this concept. To keep their studio running, they collaborated with Landfall Games, famous for Totally Accurate Battle Simulator and games like Content Warning, to develop Peak. This seemingly straightforward game has garnered an extraordinary amount of attention. Now, fans are asking the creators for additional features, one of which is VR compatibility. The developers have responded to this request, albeit not in a manner that most players might expect.

Will Peak support VR?

Although VR technology is more accessible than it was a few years ago, it hasn’t quite taken off as many expected. There are individuals who possess the necessary equipment, like powerful computers and VR headsets, to enjoy virtual reality. Unfortunately, the number of games specifically designed for this kind of play or compatible with such hardware remains limited. As you might have surmised, Peak also does not support it.

In one of the discussions on Steam Community Hub, someone asked if the developers’ work is primarily focused on Virtual Reality (VR). They replied in the negative. Another user then wondered if there were any plans to offer official support for VR technology, but unfortunately, the answer was also no.

Don’t throw in the towel just yet! Given how many games can be modified post-release these days, a game isn’t truly lost until its developers have stopped working on it. If VR compatibility is crucial for you, there’s no better action to take than heading over to Peak’s official Discord server and expressing your thoughts about it. With numerous players advocating for Virtual Reality support, Landcrab might reconsider and work on it eventually.

So far, Peak has only been released for PC, and although its creators haven’t definitively ruled out the possibility of bringing it to consoles, it doesn’t seem to be a high priority right now. This could mean that Virtual Reality integration within the game might not be a focus.

For now, feel free to experience the unaltered version on your computer screen. As you do so, explore the backstory behind the Cursed Skull and discover how it can aid in your progress. Prepare yourself beforehand and become proficient with your tools such as the Bugle of Friendship and Compass. Familiarizing yourself with their worth could make it simpler for you to locate a mystifying statue. Have a great time exploring!
