Full 2025 Night Of Champions Predictions Including John Cena, CM Punk And Thoughts On Solo Sikoa

During the Triple H era, I can’t recall a live premium event that was shrouded in such doubt and disorder. Disregarding the upheaval in Middle Eastern nations close to Saudi Arabia, which reportedly left some WWE staff temporarily stuck in Qatar, we had only two confirmed matches for Night Of Champions as we approached Monday Night Raw, one of which was abruptly cancelled. Indeed, Dirty Dominik Mysterio vs AJ Styles has been called off due to an injury concern, leaving John Cena and CM Punk as the only match that’s set more than a week before the event.

It’s great news that we finally get to witness the rematch many of us have longed for over a decade, and it’s not just the main event that’s been carefully crafted. Although it may have taken an excessive amount of time to arrive, I’m thrilled about the complete Night Of Champions lineup. Many matches, which have unofficially been brewing for some time now, include Solo Sikoa versus Jacob Fatu, Rhea Ripley against Raquel Rodriguez, and Sami Zayn vs Karrion Kross.

Let me share some insights on how my predictions have been panning out before diving into my theories. I’ve shared my thoughts ahead of every PLE event since WrestleMania 38, and while I might not be as accurate as The Undertaker at WrestleMania, I’m still quite content with the results so far…

Randy Orton Vs Cody Rhodes In The King Of The Ring Final

Commentators have been favoring Randy Orton, often reminding viewers of his controversial loss to Gunther in last year’s finals. Given his immense popularity and impending Hall of Fame induction, Orton is always a formidable contender. While it would be a satisfying narrative for him to gain some redemption in the tournament, I don’t foresee that happening this time around.

The victor of the King of the Ring competition will have a chance to battle against either John Cena or Gunther in a World Championship bout during SummerSlam. Recently, Orton had an unexpected win against Cena, and he has faced defeats at the hands of Gunther numerous times last year. Despite my conviction that there’s still one more World Championship title match left in him before his retirement, it doesn’t seem like the current situation is conducive to that happening just yet.

It appears that Cody Rhodes’ efforts to reclaim the WWE Championship he lost at WrestleMania might headline SummerSlam. Regardless of whether John Cena retains it or CM Punk takes it from him, the match between Rhodes and either contender is one fans are eagerly anticipating and would likely generate a large number of ticket sales.

Predicted Winner: Cody Rhodes

Jade Cargill Vs Asuka In The Queen Of The Ring Final

In my perspective as a movie-goer of the wrestling world, I’m torn about the conclusion. Both endings have compelling arguments that could sway my decision. After a prolonged absence due to injury, Asuka is back, and she’s a World Champion before, but many WWE enthusiasts argue that her potential hasn’t been fully realized. A victory here would probably lead to a SummerSlam match against Iyo Sky, creating a narrative rich with their past encounters, both in the ring and beyond WWE. This could make for a fascinating storyline indeed.

In a way, you could make a similar statement about Jade Cargill, but there’s less intrigue surrounding WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton compared to Naomi who possesses the Money In The Bank briefcase. There have been hints of Naomi nearly using her briefcase during Tiffy Time, and if she does, Cargill seems like an ideal competitor for her at SummerSlam. This scenario also allows room for Bianca Belair to potentially insert herself or simply watch the proceedings closely, possibly setting up a future feud with whoever emerges victorious.

Instead of Asuka and Iyo Sky performing together at SummerSlam, it seems WWE is focusing more on the Cargill, Naomi, and Bianca Belair storyline. Additionally, my intuition tells me we might witness a pairing between Iyo and Rhea Ripley instead, so I’m leaning towards supporting Jade for this event.

Predicted Winner: Jade Cargill

Jacob Fatu (Champion) Vs Solo Sikoa For The United States Championship

Credit goes to Solo Sikoa and the writers behind the scenes for recognizing that his character wasn’t fitting well. Initially, he had an appealing charm when he was first brought in as Roman Reigns’ main enforcer. However, multiple defeats in crucial moments and the rise of Jacob Fatu made it hard for him to appear as a genuine headliner. Rather than pushing him further in a desperate attempt, they decided to shift his character towards a more humorous role instead.

Through this shift in focus, he’s been able to display his charming and zany character, reminiscent of his brother, the affable Big Jim Uso. If Jey continues in singles competition for a while longer, it wouldn’t surprise me if WWE orchestrates a team-up between Solo and Big Jim for a hilarious tag team stint that could easily win over audiences. It’s something I really hope to witness.

However, that being said, it’s clear that he is bound to fall short in this match. Jacob Fatu is undeniably on the rise, with the potential to headline WrestleMania in the future. As a powerful United States Champion, losing to someone who is frequently portrayed as inept would significantly damage his forward progress. It seems plausible that JC Mateo could interfere or a new Bloodline member might make their debut, but I fail to comprehend the reasoning behind Fatu suffering a loss in this instance.

Predicted Winner: Jacob Fatu

Rhea Ripley Vs Raquel Rodriguez In A Street Fight

Raquel, another artist, is now showing signs of real confidence in her performances. Initially, there were some criticisms online when she was teamed with Liv Morgan and Judgment Day. However, her initial appearances were somewhat rigid and unnatural. But that’s changed now. She’s grown comfortable with her character, and she’s even provided some of the most remarkable matches in women’s tag team division history alongside Morgan. When given the opportunity and suitable opponents, they truly shine.

It’s impressive that she seems like a genuine contender against Rhea Ripley, but it’s important to acknowledge that she likely won’t defeat ‘Rhea Bloody Ripley’. As the greatest female wrestling star ever, Mommy needs to dominate most of her feuds if she’s in non-title matches. That includes defeating Rodriguez in this instance.

A more natural way to phrase your statement could be: Instead of wondering who will emerge victorious in this match, perhaps the real question is how long this contest will last. Ideally, I’d prefer it to stretch out for around fifteen minutes or so, with some exciting back-and-forth exchanges. If Raquel manages to dominate for about 40% of the game, that would be a significant triumph for her character, and make accepting a defeat in this instance more than worthwhile.

Predicted Winner: Rhea Ripley

Karrion Kross Vs Sami Zayn

As a die-hard moviegoer of wrestling, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with Karrion Kross’s recent rise over the past few months. He’s proven his worth in limited screen time by interacting cleverly with behind-the-scenes characters on Raw, and his social media presence has been nothing short of exceptional. From his engaging talking head promos to his frequent press conference appearances, he’s managed to captivate fans across various platforms. Moreover, the demand for his merchandise has skyrocketed, a clear indication of his growing popularity. The loudest voices within the wrestling community, often referred to as the IWC, are eagerly anticipating a significant push for Kross – one that could potentially mark the beginning of something truly spectacular!

Regardless of the outcome, there’s an undeniable sense of anticipation. This encounter marks his inaugural appearance at a top-tier live event since WrestleMania 40, and it’s also his initial single match at a Premium Live Event since 2022. Such recognition speaks volumes, and here’s hoping this boosts his chances of renewing his contract with Scarlett, paving the way for more significant roles in high-stakes scenarios.

independent of the match’s outcome, Sami Zayn’s future with WWE seems heavily influenced by their plans for his character. Over the past few years, Zayn has had an impressive career, reaching heights that many aspire to – from being part of The Bloodline and main eventing WrestleMania 39, to ending Gunther’s Intercontinental run at WrestleMania 40. However, lately, he seems to have hit a snag, finding himself in a bit of a rut despite the fans’ continued adoration. For over a year now, Zayn has been vocal about his desire to reach World Championship levels, but so far, that ambition hasn’t quite materialized.

In one possible outcome, if he triumphs, he’ll rebuild his reputation in a traditional, heroic manner, aiming again for the World Championship title. Yet, another possibility is that he may lose to Kross, who has been urging him to get rough for quite some time now. If this happens, it might inspire him to take a villainous turn instead. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Predicted Winner: Karrion Kross

John Cena (Champion) Vs CM Punk For The WWE Championship

Initially, it seemed to me that CM Punk was the one who’d dethrone John Cena after his heel turn. Given their extensive past, and with Punk primed for another stint at the pinnacle, it seemed fitting for him to temporarily lead WWE. However, something doesn’t feel right about this situation. I’m uncertain if Triple H, Bruce Prichard, and the team would strip Cena of the title during an afternoon PPV in Saudi Arabia, especially considering a two-night SummerSlam is approaching in less than a month outside New York City.

It seems somewhat premature for Cena to lose in his retirement tour, as it might be better if he reaffirms his good guy (face) persona before he leaves. However, I don’t think it would take him six months to do so. I’m unsure what his plan would be at SummerSlam if he loses this time. The only objective he consistently mentions is retaining the title. If he loses, it makes sense that he wouldn’t aim to settle scores with Solo Sikoa or engage in some arbitrary feud, but rather focus on reclaiming the title instead.

From my perspective as a fervent fan, it’s unclear how this feud between CM Punk and John Cena will play out. The intensity and drama have certainly reached a boiling point, especially after Cena’s electrifying Pipe Bomb promo on Monday Night Raw. I firmly believe that Punk deserves a chance to respond with his own mic skills. Consequently, I anticipate an ending that keeps the storyline alive, allowing for further developments in this captivating rivalry.

Predicted Winner: John Cena

In the United States, you can stream the Night Of Champions on Peacock during the afternoon hours this weekend. In most other nations, it will be available on Netflix. Both platforms offer free access for those with a paid subscription.
