Streamer ‘Norme’ was suspended from the platform following an incident where a viewer challenged him to spill Coca-Cola onto his laptop, leading to a flaming explosion that filled his room.
Back in August 2024, I’m certain many of you recall Norme making headlines with his extraordinary feats. One such feat was when he unofficially broke the world record by staying awake for an extended period. Quite amazing, wasn’t it?
Approximately a year past this point, he’s been garnering notice again due to another risky action, following a challenge from a viewer who encouraged him to splash soda onto his gaming computer during a live stream on June 22nd.
As I was engrossed in my Roblox game, I found myself grappling with an overheating computer issue. To my surprise, the conversation steered towards advice about using the cold Coca-Cola can I was sipping on to cool down my system. However, this suggestion led to an unexpected chain of events.
Noticeably, the laptop seems to be emitting a faint smoke,” said Norme as he set it down on the floor. “What does it mean if a laptop is smoking slightly? I hear strange noises coming from it. Could you have misled me about this?
Kick streamer accidentally sets room ablaze
Just moments later, I proudly displayed my laptop to my audience, emphasizing that it had spontaneously combusted off-camera. In a desperate bid to extinguish the flames, I flipped the device over onto my bed, hoping to smother it… but alas, even this failed to quell the blaze.
Look out!” the streamer exclaimed, attempting to put out the escalating fire with the remainder of his soda first, followed by employing a real fire extinguisher, but unfortunately, the extinguisher wasn’t effective, and the blaze persisted in expanding further.
In time, the stream lost its light. On platform X, Norme voiced his concerns in several posts, strongly protesting Kick’s decision to ban him due to what was deemed an “accident.
He wrote, ‘I can’t believe I’ve been banned once more!’ He exclaimed, ‘Dude, what on earth? I had a near-death experience! What’s with you and this persistent issue of kicking me?’
NO WAY I GOT BANNED AGAIN
BRO WHAT THE F ???????
I NEARLY DIED WAHT IS YOUR GODAM PROBLEM KICKKK— NORME ai artist (comms open) ✍️🎨❤️ (@NormeNorme) June 22, 2025
So far, the duration of Norme’s ban remains uncertain, yet it’s worth noting that this isn’t the first instance where the platform has acted against him due to his live streams.
In the well-known “no sleep” broadcast of 2024, Norme was temporarily banned from various platforms due to alleged breaches of their community rules. However, he successfully completed his long-duration stream on Rumble with an audience of approximately 9,000 people.
After 11 straight days without rest, an ambulance was summoned to assess Norme’s wellbeing. However, according to our chat with a sleep specialist, it’s unlikely that he’ll have long-term problems due to his daredevil stunt involving sleep deprivation.
