Punishing: Gray Raven – Devil May Cry 5 crossover content launches in Japan on July 1

Kuro Games has announced that the Devil May Cry 5 collaboration in the Japanese version of Punishing: Gray Raven will launch on July 1st. This crossover event runs until August 14th, but players on the Japanese server must claim all available crossover content by August 12th.

In this update, you’ll find Dante and Vergil, who have been featured in Capcom’s latest game series installment, as playable characters that can be obtained through a gacha system. Interestingly, while Punishing Gray Raven supports both Japanese and English voiceovers, the voices for Dante and Vergil seem to only feature English options. This is evident from the Japanese reveal tweets, which list Reuben Langdon and Daniel Southworth as the English voice actors reprising their roles as Dante and Vergil respectively. Furthermore, the Devil Sword Dante and Yamato will also be available separately through weapon gachas.

Despite Punishing Gray Raven being accessible globally across mobile and PC platforms, there are minor differences in the release of various versions among different regions. The English version will receive the “Dream till the Timeless End” update on June 25th. Interestingly, it seems that this update will also merge the two updates leading up to the DMC5 crossover, which were already released in Japan. Consequently, players on the English server can anticipate seeing Dante and Vergil in the subsequent update following this one.
