In a recent chat, well-known VTuber Inugami Korone sat down with the director and author of 28 Years Later, delivering laughs that lived up to expectations.
During a rather unexpected joint interview, filmmaker Danny Boyle and screenwriter Alex Garland recently chatted with the lively Korone Inugami. This renowned Japanese Virtual YouTuber is admired globally for her vibrant live-streaming of video games and humorous demeanor, which keeps millions of fans entertained.
Though Korone is known for her enthusiasm towards zombie games like Resident Evil, it came as a surprise to many when she conducted an interview with the director and writer of 28 Years Later. This encounter was not something we had expected, and judging by Alex Garland’s somewhat unenthusiastic expression, it seemed that he too wasn’t anticipating it.

As Korone gave her introduction, Boyle struggled to conceal his excitement, grinning widely and chuckling. Simultaneously, Alex stood quietly in the backdrop, appearing somewhat perplexed by the predicament unfolding around him.
Hello, I’m Korone Inugami. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance! I adore you immensely. I really appreciate you,” said Korone in English.
After setting the stage, Korone initiated the Q&A session, prompting Alex to grab his coffee. The writer, expressing his annoyance, crossed his arms, gazed off into space periodically, and occasionally sighed, whereas director Danny Boyle responded to Korone’s questions with a broad smile.
Korone exclaimed eagerly, ‘I believe I’d perish instantly [in 28 Days Later], could you rescue me?’
Boyle assured me that we can find a method to secure your safety. It seems wisest for you to remain on this island instead of venturing to the mainland,” Boyle suggested. He also mentioned the possibility of contributing to the organization of the island’s grand celebration, an event everyone looks forward to.
Alex found the previous query amusing, but it was the subsequent question from Korone that left him utterly puzzled.
In a friendly exchange, Korone asked, “Since I’m a character in a show, could the Rage Virus affect me like it does for humans?” To which Alex responded bluntly, “You’re actually a human character,” prompting laughter from Danny Boyle. Despite being taken aback, Alex addressed the question, saying that indeed, Korone would be quite fortunate in this scenario.
Alex mentioned that if something is mixed with a Spaniel, it’s entirely harmless,” he said. “It’s resistant to the virus, so there’s no need to worry, you can feel at ease.
As a hardcore gamer, I can tell you that while I, Korone, might breeze through a zombie apocalypse in my gaming world, it’s a heart-pounding, life-or-death scenario for the heroes of the 30 scariest zombie games ever created.
