Get the lowdown on Monster Hunter World: Title Update 2 (TU2)! We’ll cover the release date, fresh monster lineup, and all the other cool stuff you can expect.
In both versions, the focus is on providing concise, clear information about TU2 in an engaging manner that appeals to readers.
It appears that details about Monster Hunter Wilds‘ upcoming title update 2 (TU2) have allegedly been released prematurely by PlayStation. The leaked information includes the update’s launch date, fresh content, and confirmation regarding one of the new monsters. Lagiacrus, initially teased during the presentation for title update 1, has sparked anticipation among fans for its comeback in TU2.
Despite Capcom not explicitly stating that the returning monster would be Lagiacrus, an astute observation of the claws and scales led eagle-eyed fans to identify it as a Leviathan. Furthermore, it appears that leaks have corroborated the suspicion that the monster is indeed Lagiacrus. Beyond this confirmation, the leaks also offer insights into the update’s new content and customization options.
Here’s a breakdown of the latest updates on Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2 (TU2), complete with its rumored launch date.

When Is Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2 (TU2) Releasing?
Based on an earlier PlayStation Store announcement that has since been removed, Monster Hunter Wilds’ TU2 is set to launch on June 30, 2025. This aligns with Capcom’s intentions to roll out TU2 towards the end of this month. The update will simultaneously release across all platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Similar to any title update, it won’t be possible to pre-load it on consoles before its official release date.
Additionally, it’s important to note that prior to the upgrade, the game’s online servers might temporarily shut down for maintenance. To ensure you have the latest information about maintenance and update schedules, make sure to follow Capcom and Monster Hunter’s official social media accounts.
Regarding the size of the update for TU2, it hasn’t been disclosed just yet. Given the substantial new content being added to the game, a reasonable estimate would be between 5 to 8 gigabytes, possibly even larger.
New Content and Additions in Monster Hunter Wilds’ Title Update 2
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve heard some exciting whispers about TU2. It seems Monster Hunter Wilds is set to introduce not one, but two new monsters! The first one is undeniably Lagiscrus, as suggested by the monster images and weapons showcased in the leak. However, the second one remains a mystery, with some of us guessing it could be Bazelgeuse. Time will tell, my fellow hunters!
Apart from these fresh monsters, the game is also going to introduce the “Changeable Weapon Appearance” system, enabling players to modify their weapons’ looks without affecting their statistics. Additionally, this update will also unveil the “Super-Tuned Uth Duna” and the “Gamma Version” of the Apex Monster’s armor set.
Additionally, together with TU2, Capcom plans to launch a new paid DLC pack. This DLC offers cosmetic items for the Hunter, Palico, and the Seikret. There are also free rewards such as the Doshaguma Mask, available through new event quests.
