New leak suggests OG Xbox & Xbox 360 games are coming to PC

According to popular YouTube content creator and leak source, eXtas1s, it appears that Microsoft’s Xbox team is developing an ‘Xbox Classics’ initiative. This project aims to make games from both the original Xbox console and the Xbox 360 available on PCs, consoles, and cloud platforms.

On June 19th, a YouTube video was released by the creator, detailing Microsoft’s potential plan for the Xbox backward compatibility initiative.

In the submitted document, eXtas1s mentions a conversation they had with someone who is employed within Microsoft’s Xbox division. They claim this individual mentioned that they are involved in a significant undertaking, tentatively named “Xbox Classics.

The project is said to primarily replicate games from the original Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles, promising significant advantages for various platforms.

Xbox 360 games might be coming to PC

Should the rumor be validated, it implies that Xbox and Xbox 360 games could now be playable on personal computers, as suggested by the YouTuber, who claims Microsoft is collaborating with the renowned Xenia emulator group to facilitate this.

He didn’t reveal all the titles, but he mentioned that well-known games such as Fable 2, Skate 3, Gears of War 3, and Def Jam: Fight for New York are either being improved or are under consideration for the upcoming project.

It’s unclear when Xbox games might make their way onto PC, but according to eXtas1s, there’s a possibility they could be revealed in 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the brand.
