Wendy’s reveals new Takis Fuego chicken sandwich and french fries

In collaboration with the well-liked, spicy corn chip brand Takis, Wendy’s introduces a fresh, restricted edition ‘Fuego’ chicken sandwich and accompanying French fries as a new offering.

Over the years, the company has boldly ventured into significant collaborations, such as creating a Krabby Patty meal in collaboration with Spongebob Squarepants way back in 2024.

On Tuesday, June 17th, it was announced that Wendy’s and Takis have collaborated to create a distinctive addition to Wendy’s menu.

Commencing on June 20th in the U.S., and June 30th in Canada, we will introduce a meal offering that includes the Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich, Fuego Fries, a packet of chips, and a small beverage.

Wendy’s reveals Takis sandwich and fries

The dish transforms Wendy’s well-known spicy chicken sandwich by amping up the heat with crumbled Takis Fuego chips, a tangy chili lime sauce, a creamy layer of sweet corn, and melted cheddar cheese.

The company enhanced their well-liked French fries by coating them in a zesty mix of chili and lime for an extra kick. To ensure convenience, Wendy’s designed a bag that can be easily torn open, lying flat to prevent your hands from getting dirty during enjoyment.

The meal deal, which includes two items along with a bag of chips and a beverage, is available for purchase. However, the cost has not been disclosed at this point in time.

In addition to their latest offerings, Wendy’s is introducing an in-app game named Spice Invasion. This game lets players journey through challenging landscapes, blasting Wendy’s menu items with Takis to collect points and secure prizes. One fortunate participant will even stand a chance to win a whopping $10,000 as the ultimate prize.

As I’ve noticed recently, the brand is expanding its reach by placing its popular items like the classic square burgers and double-smoked bacon in grocery stores nationwide across the U.S., making it easier for me as a gamer to grab a quick bite without leaving my gaming zone!
