Casper, a friendly ghost voiced by Malachi Pearson, is followed by Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman) and his daughter Kat (Christina Ricci). Carrigan Crittenden, a rich heiress played by Cathy Moriarty, enlists Dr. Harvey to rid Whipstaff Manor of its poltergeists. Instead, they discover Casper who becomes friends with Kat. However, Casper’s ghostly uncles, known for their mischief, dislike humans and plan to drive the team out of the house permanently.
When Casper debuted in 1995, it received a mix of reviews, but resonated strongly with younger viewers and eventually developed a devoted fanbase, earning cult status. Notably, it was among the initial live-action films to star an entirely computer-generated main character.
