Among Us Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Virtual Cake, Real Party

On June 15, 2018, Innersloth first introduced Among Us on mobile platforms, later expanding to consoles and PCs. As we approach the game’s seventh anniversary in a few days, Innersloth is kicking off the festivities early with digital cakes, in-game collectibles, and even an actual party to celebrate!

According to the official game website, players of Among Us from the current date up until July 10 at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time will receive a complimentary Caked Up Hat for their character. Additionally, the game map called The Skeld will be decked out in festive decorations during this time period. For those who wish to experience Among Us in real life with friends, the developers, Innersloth, intend to share the rules of the original game that served as inspiration for Among Us. These rules will be published on the Among Us blog on June 15.

Right after our beloved game’s anniversary, I’m thrilled to share that on June 16th at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET, Innersloth will be hosting a unique live-stream on YouTube! As fans, we get to join the festivities as they invite a genuine in-game crewmate for some fun. Plus, there’s going to be pizza-cake baking, and what better way to celebrate than with a tasty treat? This game has become Innersloth’s signature hit, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us!

Innersloth has also dropped some new collectibles to the Among Us’ in-game store:

  • Note to Self Namplate
  • ERRORERRORERROR Nameplate
  • I Was Framed! Nameplate
  • That’s a Bit of a Breach Nameplate
  • Pompous Fit Skin
  • Belle of the Ball Skin
  • It’s All About Balance Hat (Watermelon)
  • My Beret or the Highway Hat (Black) (Blue) (Pink)
  • Not 2 Self Visor (Sad) (Happy)
  • I Got a Boo Boo Visor
  • Starry-Eyed Purple Visor
  • Lovely to See You Visor (Magenta)
  • Snuggly Scarf (Yellow/Green) (Sepia)
  • And You Have My Bow (Red) (Pink)

This year, Innersloth introduced a flat version (2D) of Among Us VR, which was originally in 3D and required Virtual Reality, but this new version is without the VR component. As for the Among Us animated series, it’s still being developed, but there hasn’t been an announcement of its release date yet.
