Splatoon 3’s Free Switch 2 Update Now Live, Here Are The Patch Notes

In simple terms, Nintendo has released an update for Splatoon 3, offering not only visual enhancements on the Switch 2 but also a plethora of fresh content. This includes version 10.0.0 patch, which brings about weapon balance modifications and other gameplay refinements.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but be thrilled about the enhancements to Splatoon 3 on Switch 2! Now, the game runs smoother and boasts improved visuals, making my exploration of places like Splatsville and the Grand Festival Grounds an even more immersive experience. The details are more intricate, and Nintendo has even fine-tuned the animations for characters such as jellyfish, enriching the overall gameplay!

This update introduces a variety of fresh weapons under the “Splatlands Collection,” amounting to a total of 30. These new arsenals are now up for grabs at the Ammo Knights shop. Additionally, the original Splatoon 1 stage, Urchin Underpass, has been incorporated, thereby expanding the multiplayer maps to 25 in number.

In conclusion, the latest update introduces several balance modifications to specific weapons and specials. Notably, the ’91 and ’92 versions of the S-Blast now require more ink for use, whereas the durability of the Wave Breaker has been enhanced. Additionally, the weapon freshness limit has been expanded, and a Series Weapon Power feature has been integrated into Anarchy Battles.

In addition to our latest update, you’ll find some exciting new additions! We’ve incorporated weapons and a fresh stage, boosted the maximum Freshness level, introduced a Series Weapon system for Anarchy Battle, and added call signs for X Battles. Furthermore, we’ve fine-tuned our operations on Nintendo Switch 2 for smoother gameplay. Enjoy the new features!

In the game series, Anarchy Battle, we’ve introduced a fresh Series Weapon feature, specifically designed for players who have achieved Rank S or above.

This feature allows for measuring the Series Weapon Power of every weapon you’re currently using. You’ll then be paired with opponents who possess a comparable level of weapon power.

In our plans, we included the development of this new feature with the expectation that it would provide players an engaging experience by allowing them to fight with multiple types of weapons, such as those from the Splatlands Collection – Barazushi and Emberz weapons, which have been introduced in the latest update.

Additionally, we made balance changes to multiplayer battles.

At S-BLAST ’92 and S-BLAST ’91, I’ve tweaked the mechanics to provide opponents with additional opportunities to respond, as it appeared that there were no viable counterattacks at any range from my perspective.

To make the Crab Tank less overwhelming in combat, we reduced its cannon’s maximum damage, aiming to lower the instances where the target gets knocked out with no chance to dodge. Furthermore, we enhanced the effectiveness of other special weapons against the Crab Tank, providing a more balanced fight.

To lessen the ink usage for Toxic Mist, we’ve adjusted it to work better alongside primary weapons. At the same time, we’ve prolonged the duration before ink regenerates to prevent a strategy where players excessively use their subsidiary weapons in rapid succession.

In our upcoming update, we’ll be fine-tuning the multiplayer experience by adjusting game balances, taking into account the impact of newly introduced weapons.
