In simple terms, the upcoming game from Stardew Valley creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone will feature a bigger world compared to the one in his farming simulator. However, you don’t have to believe us; Barone himself has explicitly stated that Haunted Chocolatier has a larger world.
In a recent statement, Barone mentioned that the universe of Haunted Chocolatier is more extensive than Stardew Valley. This comes as no surprise, given that back in December, Barone revealed he was developing Haunted Chocolatier with similarities to Stardew Valley. As for the details, Barone shared that he’s primarily coding it from scratch using C# and single-handedly handling all development aspects. This was confirmed after he reaffirmed his return to working on Haunted Chocolatier.

It appears that Barone is gradually sharing more details about his upcoming game. Previously, the developer spoke about incorporating mystery and whimsy into Haunted Chocolatier. Barone seems to encourage players to abandon the idea of crafting the ideal chocolate and instead, trust their instincts.
In late 2021, news broke about the upcoming game titled Haunted Chocolatier, where players will manage a chocolate factory. However, an exact release date for this RPG is yet to be determined. Earlier this year, its creator, Barone, expressed hope that it would hit the market within the next five years, covering the remainder of this decade. Following that potential launch, he hinted at the possibility of developing Stardew Valley 2 at some point in the future.
