Two games from the Final Fantasy series are arriving on Xbox: one of them, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, is slated for release this upcoming winter season, as announced during the Xbox Games Showcase. Additionally, the latest numbered installment in the series, Final Fantasy XVI, becomes available on Xbox today.
A quick sneak peek displayed both games consecutively. It was mentioned in a related blog post that each mainline, single-player installment of Final Fantasy is destined for Xbox platforms, implying that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will likely be included too. However, the release date for the second part of the Remake trilogy remains undisclosed.
In simple terms, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the complete version of the remake, containing a downloadable content (DLC) focusing on Yuffie that seamlessly connects the story to Rebirth. On the other hand, Final Fantasy XVI presents an entirely new tale centered around Clive Rosfield, who experiences the complexities of international politics in a world where powerful summoned creatures known as Eikons are wielded by kingdoms.
