Mortal Shell II Trailer Comes To Rip And Tear At Summer Game Fest

During Summer Game Fest 2025, Playstack revealed the follow-up to Mortal Shell. Just as ominous as the initial game, it seems that the sequel will up the ante significantly when it comes to brutality. A significant increase in brutality is on the horizon.

In addition to ominous, inscrutable deities mocking him as a lethal weapon who could potentially destroy the world with his own array of gruesome, flesh-tearing weapons, the two-minute trailer showcases some horrific new adversaries – many of them seeming like corpses and skeletons frantically attempting to break free from their contorted bodies. Moreover, it displays even more disturbing finishes for these opponents – whatever the Shell is doing to the man with the Bib Fortuna fleshbeard, it doesn’t look good.

However, developer Playstack didn’t stop at that level of brutality; they amplified the intensity further by synchronizing the trailer with Behemoth’s Ben Sahar track from their album The Satanist. This dark tune perfectly complements the bleak, unsettling, and grimy atmosphere of this sequel, making it even more terrifying than the chilling original game from 2020.
