Regina Hall will be appearing alongside Jennifer Garner in the Peacock series version of “The Five-Star Weekend,” according to our latest information.
The TV show, titled like its source novel by Elin Hilderbrand, was first revealed to the public in January, featuring Garner as the main character. Here’s how the series is officially described:
*The series follows a wealthy, dysfunctional family who spend their summers on Nantucket. When their matriarch dies unexpectedly, her secrets and scandals threaten to tear the family apart.*
Title character Hollis Shaw (played by Jennifer Garner), a renowned food influencer admired for her scrumptious dishes, impeccable palate, and friendly personality, experiences a heart-wrenching tragedy. Struggling to cope, this event begins to reveal the flaws in Hollis’s seemingly flawless existence—her strained marriage, complex bond with her daughter, and increasing need for approval from her followers. To confront her grief and rediscover herself, Hollis contrives a weekend getaway at her Nantucket home with three friends spanning various periods of her life: early childhood, youthful twenties, thirties, and an unexpected fifth companion. Amidst opulence and coastal landscapes, they will undergo personal growth far beyond their expectations as limitations are tested and hidden truths unveiled.
Hall will play the series regular role of Dru-Ann Jones.
More recently, Hall has been featured in several television shows such as “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” on Peacock, “Black Monday” on Showtime, and “Nine Perfect Strangers” during its first season on Hulu. It’s worth noting that he was also a part of the “Best Man” film series which served as the basis for the Peacock show, and has acted in various movies including the “Scary Movie” franchise, “Think Like a Man,” “Girls Trip,” and “Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul.
