In a recent conversation with Deadline, Charlie Cox, reprising his role as Matt Murdock in Jessica Jones’ MCU comeback for “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 2, delved into an intriguing plot detail from their joint appearance on “The Defenders.” Specifically, he pondered the moment she discovered that Matt was still alive. Furthermore, showrunner Dario Scardapane spoke about the joy of witnessing these two stars collaborate once more, offering this insight:

Charlie Cox ponders when Jessica Jones discovered that he wasn’t deceased. Since at the conclusion of Defenders, it seems he perished, he can’t recall when exactly… It might have been on-screen or off-screen, but considering enough time has elapsed, it’s safe to assume that she must have found out eventually. There’s a mutual respect between them, with him finding her too blunt and him overly serious; she’s more of an antihero than a hero, as he puts it, laughing at the contrast.
Dario Scardapane: Writing them is incredibly enjoyable, and when I finally got to observe their scenes on the monitors (which we call Q-takes), it was an absolute delight to see them both sharing the screen for the first time!
