Kate Hudson, Adam Brody and the Cast of ’Yellowjackets’ Kick Off the Inaugural Newport Beach TV Fest

From its debut in 1999, the Newport Beach Film Festival has been inviting countless filmmakers to Orange County, California. On June 5th, it will introduce its first companion event: Newport Beach TV Fest. This four-day celebration will take place at the Lido Theater and The Port Theater, nestled in the coastal city. It aims to honor the craftsmanship and accomplishments of television creators.

Industry experts will gather to acknowledge exceptional TV series across broadcast and streaming platforms, recognizing the skills of those on-screen as well as off-camera talents.

Experts from the television industry will join together to praise some of the year’s finest shows, whether they air on traditional broadcast or online streaming services. They will be highlighting both the on-screen and behind-the-scenes talents involved.

Lastly:

TV industry professionals will unite to laud this year’s best shows, both those shown on regular TV and streaming platforms. They aim to honor the talent in front of the camera as well as the people working behind it.

Gregg Schwenk, CEO and executive director of the Newport Beach Film Festival, explains that television is more vibrant than ever before. As the world of storytelling changes, he sees the Newport Beach TV Fest as a logical progression in their journey. For 26 years, they’ve supported visionary filmmakers, and now they’re excited to extend this mission by honoring the creativity and innovation of modern television. Newport Beach has always been a hotspot for artistic greatness, and with the introduction of the TV Fest, it will solidify its reputation as a top destination for the industry’s most brilliant minds.

During Phase 1 of the Emmy Awards, the festival aims to organize the most extensive assembly of Guild and Television Academy voters excluding gatherings in Los Angeles or New York. Given this, it’s logical that prominent nominees will receive their due recognition.
