This upcoming Sunday’s episode of “The Walking Dead: Dead City” is arguably the most eagerly awaited one so far. Unlike the Rat King-like monster from the sewers in Season 1, this time we’re facing a formidable adversary – a bear. It might seem that a horde of walkers merged into one colossal creature could pose more danger than a bear. However, bears are significantly more intelligent than walkers.
New challenges arise in Season 2, Episode 6, as formidable adversaries emerge. Bruegel is considering various strategies to secure methane, and he’s now attempting to negotiate with Maggie and Perlie. Meanwhile, Negan and the Croat are pondering their future steps following the death of the Dama. The episode’s trailer hints that these occurrences will reunite Maggie and Negan, leaving viewers eager to discover why in the upcoming broadcast.
When Does The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2, Episode 6 Release?
“Bridge Partners Are Hard to Come by These Days” Premieres This Sunday on AMC and AMC+
In a week from now, on Sunday, June 8 at 9 PM Eastern Time, Season 2 Episode 6, titled “Finding Reliable Bridge Partners Isn’t Easy Nowadays,” will be broadcasted. This episode can be viewed simultaneously on both AMC and AMC+. After its initial airing, AMC will replay the episode on the same night and other nights in the coming week. If you are an AMC+ subscriber, you can stream the episode whenever you like following its release on the streaming platform.
Maggie’s actor, Lauren Cohan, achieving her directorial debut in this episode, signifies a significant achievement. It makes her one of only six actors from ‘The Walking Dead’ series to have directed an episode within the franchise. Michael Cudlitz led the way for the main series, while Colman Domingo, Lennie James, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Tyler (who also directed episodes for both ‘TWD’ and ‘World Beyond’) followed.
Maggie Faces Her Biggest Opponent Yet
Additionally, Negan and the Croat Are Left Without a Leader
With the Season 2 finale approaching, “Dead City” has been undergoing significant changes. Narvaez, the Dama, Christos, and Roksana have all been written off the show, with Roksana meeting her end at the hands of New Babylon. Despite this, there are still numerous original characters driving the plot forward in “Dead City”. However, even Ginny seems to be courting danger, having sustained injuries during the walker invasion. The only thing keeping her going is her determination to take revenge on Negan by killing him, a storyline that echoes similar plots in both “The Walking Dead” and another widely-watched post-apocalyptic series that recently concluded.
In a temporary truce, Maggie and Hershel have momentarily set aside their disagreements, but given the series’ pattern, tension is certain to resurface eventually. Despite believing Dama is still alive, Hershel feels she should have been protected more than he was, which leads us to wonder: If he discovers Dama has passed away, who might he seek solace from? Is it possible he’ll return to his mother and recognize he’s been misled throughout? At the moment, that seems improbable. Hershel is deeply engrossed in the deception woven by Dama, making him doubt Maggie’s intentions. However, it might take considerable effort for him to understand that Maggie has always had his best interests at heart.
New episodes of The Walking Dead: Dead City premiere every Sunday at 9 PM ET on AMC and AMC+.
