As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that after nearly four years, my favorite CS:GO pro, XANTARES, has been reinstated on Twitch! After an inexplicable ban, it’s fantastic to have him back on the platform. Here’s to more epic gameplay and exciting streams!
Initially unaware of the duration, Turkish esports player Ismailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş faced a ban from streaming platform Twitch way back in June 2021.
As a devoted viewer, I found myself temporarily barred from Twitch. Frankly, I’m baffled about the reason, but I can’t help but feel that I warranted this sanction – it’s not their mistake, you know?
The next day, he disclosed that the reason was a breach of community guidelines, leading some to speculate that his questionable conduct during a CS:GO game might have triggered the ban.
Now, almost four years to the day, XANTARES is back on Twitch.
Twitch unbans XANTARES after four long years
On June 4, XANTARES’ Twitch channel was suddenly reinstated after 3 years, 11 months and five days.
Since his ban, CS:GO has significantly changed and been succeeded by Counter-Strike 2. The streamer, in turn, shifted from participating with Eternal Fire to his newly formed team, Aurora Gaming.

Aurora gleefully reacted to the ban by mentioning XANTARES on social media, inquiring about his upcoming streaming schedule on Twitch.
Previously boasting a substantial following of approximately 500,000 on Twitch, XANTARES switched platforms to Kick in 2024. It remains uncertain whether he plans to rejoin Twitch in the future.

To date, XANTARES has yet to address his reinstatement on Twitch, and he’s by no means the only content creator who was given another chance following several years of suspension.
Significantly, Adin Ross, who had been banned from Twitch for a two-year period, was recently reinstated in the year 2025. This decision was made following Twitch’s announcement that permanently banned content creators could apply to regain access to their accounts. Furthermore, Twitch admitted that their ban system had unfairly affected long-term streamers.
