As a gamer, I was looking forward to catching up on all the developer showcases this month, but it seems Ubisoft won’t be part of their usual Ubisoft Forward presentation this time around. This is actually the first year since 2020 that Ubisoft isn’t hosting a showcase. Instead, they’ll be popping up at events like Summer Game Fest and the PC Gaming Show.
A Ubisoft representative expressed their enthusiasm for engaging with their game enthusiasts and sharing their creations. They’re constantly seeking ways to keep players updated, and they anticipate revealing more details in the future.
This year, Ubisoft Forward, the annual event where Ubisoft presents its games, both online and offline, usually held around June, won’t take place. Instead, Ubisoft will join IGN Live (from June 7-8) and PC Gaming Show (on June 8), and they also plan to participate in GamesCom.

It’s not unexpected to learn that Ubisoft won’t have a separate showcase event, given their recent announcement about the delay of several upcoming games. While they didn’t disclose which titles exactly during their latest financial report, they did mention that some of their major projects are impacted.
Ubisoft has shared a general timeframe for when they will release substantial content from their major franchises, and it appears that new titles will be launched within their 2026-2027 fiscal years, specifically between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027. This includes the eagerly anticipated Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake, which is expected to arrive by March 2026.
In an attempt to reduce expenses amidst tough times in 2025, Ubisoft underwent a significant restructuring within its company. To concentrate more on its Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six brands, it established a separate subsidiary. Tencent invested $1.25 billion USD into this new venture, taking a minority stake. Regrettably, there have been numerous layoffs and studio closures at Ubisoft, affecting 185 employees and ultimately leading to the cancellation of XDefiant earlier this year.
