Following a trial run with Chapters 1 and 2 as a demo, you can now purchase Deltarune Chapters 1-4 today. By doing so, you’ll gain access to additional story content in the future. The game is available on several platforms such as PS5, PS4, PC (Steam), Switch, and Switch 2, but not Xbox at this time. Some fans are keeping their fingers crossed that it might unexpectedly launch today, though it seems more likely based on past experience that it won’t follow the same pattern as Undertale. Still, it is technically possible for the game to be released on Xbox in the future.
Will it be possible to play Deltarune on Xbox?
At the moment, developers haven’t mentioned any plans for an Xbox release, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t happen in the future. Take the game Undertale, for example; many fans were skeptical about its potential Xbox launch. Yet, to everyone’s surprise, not only did it get released, but it also joined the Xbox Game Pass. However, it took a while before that happened.
Back in 2015, I stumbled upon this amazing game called Undertale on my trusty PC, released on the 15th of September. Over time, it found its way onto various gaming consoles as well.

- Xbox: March 16, 2021.
It appears that Xbox doesn’t seem to be high on Toby Fox’s list of priorities. This could be due to the fact that there might be less interest or demand for that particular port.
As a dedicated fan, I’m excited about the possibility of playing Deltarune on Xbox, but it seems unlikely to happen before Chapter 5 drops. In fact, it might not be available until all chapters are ready. However, there’s always a chance that Microsoft could expedite the process by offering a deal to this indie developer, such as featuring the game on Xbox Game Pass. But, in the most unfavorable situation, we may never get Deltarune on Xbox. I personally believe this is the least likely outcome.
