The much-awaited fifth season of the animated series “ ” is scheduled to debut on June 5, marking almost a decade since the fourth season ended on the Disney Channel. This return brings back Phineas, Ferb, their elder sister Candace, their pet Perry the Platypus, and the mischievous Dr. Doofenschmirtz.
The upcoming fifth season signifies a fresh summer break for Phineas and Ferb, which means they’ve grown a year older and possibly gained some wisdom. This new installment is also expected to feature some beloved guest stars.
Dani Rojas and Coach Beard Actors To Guest Star
According to creators Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh and Dan Povenmire (who also voices Doofenschmirtz), stars Brendan Hunt and Cristo Fernández from Ted Lasso will lend their voices to characters in the upcoming fifth season. Notably, Hunt, who is also a co-creator of Ted Lasso, portrays Coach Beard in the Apple TV+ sports comedy series. Fernández brings Dani Rojas, the scene-stealing, energetic footballer, to life on the show, which has been commissioned for a fourth season as well.
Series Creators Compare Ted Lasso to Phineas and Ferb
Marsh pointed out that it seemed fitting to have the actors from “Ted Lasso” appear on “Phineas and Ferb” because both shows share a similar atmosphere of positivity. As he began watching “Ted Lasso”, he initially remarked to his wife, “This feels like the live-action, spiritually and emotionally, the live-action counterpart of our show.” At its heart, it’s genuinely good-natured, Marsh concluded.
The popular animated series “Phineas and Ferb” made its debut on the Disney Channel back in 2007, quickly gaining favor among both children and adults. This show, which is slated for a two-season revival by Disney, boasts an impressive voice cast that includes Vincent Martella as Phineas Flynn, David Errigo Jr. as Ferb Fletcher, Ashley Tisdale as Candace Flynn, Caroline Rhea as Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Dee Bradley Baker as Perry the Platypus, Alyson Stoner as Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, Bobby Gaylor as Buford Van Stomm, Maulik Pancholi as Baljeet Tjinder, Povenmire as Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, Marsh as Major Francis Monogram, and Olivia Olson as Vanessa Doofenshmirtz. The show also spawned two spinoff movies.
The Stepbrothers Get Ready for Another Summer Vacation
For the forthcoming season of Phineas and Ferb, there’s a fresh tune called “Summer is Beginning Today.” The series synopsis goes like this: “Phineas and Ferb chronicles the adventures of these inventive stepbrothers as they make the most of another 104 summer days. Candace is more persistent than ever to finally expose her brothers, while their pet platypus, Perry, juggles two lives – one as a lovable pet and the other as the smooth Agent P, whose goal is always to prevent Dr. Doofenshmirtz from dominating the Tri-State Area.
Beginning June 5th, you can catch the premiere of Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel. The following day, the show will be accessible for streaming on Disney+. Notably, all four seasons of the series, along with the movies “Across the 2nd Dimension” and “Candace Against the Universe”, are already available to stream on Disney+.
Ted Lasso streams on Apple TV+. is set to head into production later this summer.
