YouTube personality Charlie ‘MoistCr1TiKal’ White expressed surprise upon discovering a fraudulent Instagram account in his name, which had been deceiving followers by soliciting subscription fees.
Charlie was streaming and talking to his fans when he found out about the Instagram pages.
He asked, “Is Instagram profitable?”, as he read from a chat message. It seemed like he had noticed that I’d established some subscriptions.
Yet, it turned out that Moist hadn’t arranged any Instagram subscriptions. Instead, he guided the fan towards the specific page he was referring to.

He replied, “What on earth are you referring to when you say ‘I’ve got subscriptions set up’? That’s not true, is it? Can you show me where you saw that?
After another user hinted that the person could be following a fraudulent account, Moist requested him to share the link of the specific page. “Could you tell me what the username of the account you’re following is?” he inquired.
Phew, false alert,” chimed the voice, causing me, the avid gamer, to respond: “Well, I guess I was expecting as much. If it was really them, I’d be in trouble. Hang on, though. It seems there might still be a hitch here. Are those imitation pages offering subscription tiers?
Instead of creating a video, let me rephrase the statement for you: The YouTube creator clarified that he’s fine with people who merely share his content without originality, but taking advantage of fans by asking them to subscribe unjustly is not tolerated.
He expressed his concern by saying, “If they’re introducing subscription levels and such, that’s an issue. It won’t work. I’ll certainly remove it. I dislike doing that, but if you’re attempting to trick people into subscribing for money… that’s a problem.” In simpler terms, he doesn’t approve of misleading people into paying for subscriptions.
MoistCr1TiKal isn’t alone in pointing out false social media profiles; even Haliey Welch (also known as Hawk Tuah girl) did so after gaining virality. In fact, she criticized numerous misleading accounts that claimed to be her when they first appeared.
